As of January 2015, we’re supporting clients who are working under the 2007 Regulations,
with the statutory CDM Co-ordinator (CDMC) service, strategic CDM advice and CDM best practice data.
CDM 2015
From 6 April, these regulations will be replaced with CDM 2015. The new regulations introduce major changes, so we’re working closely with our clients to help them understand how they will be affected, and the services we can provide them with under the requirements.
Overview of the changes
Although not an exhaustive list, some of the major changes being proposed include greater responsibilities on the client and the introduction of the new role of Principal Designer. The role of CDM Co-ordinator will be removed and the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) will be switched for a briefer signposting ACOP, which will be published in October 2015. The wider alterations also include changes to assessing competence.
