Adamstown District Centre (also called Adamstown Central) is a town centre at the heart of
the new town of Adamstown. A planning application for the scheme was recently submitted
to South Dublin County Council by Castlethorn Construction.
At 154,000 square metres, Adamstown Central is one of the largest ever mixed-use developments in the history of the State. It will provide a full range of community, civic, residential, retail and commercial facilities.
Adamstown Central is divided into several interconnected plots. Seven architectural practices are involved in the design of the individual plots.
Adamstown Central includes 900 apartments, 60 retail units, restaurants and cafes, an underground car park, an 8 screen cinema, a library, a healthcare centre and a place of worship. The 20 acre town centre will be located beside Adamstown train station is set to house over 600 staff. AFEC were appointed as the Fire Engineering Consultant on this project from its early stage. We have provided pre-planning Engineering advice to the design team.
