The site is located approximately 30 miles north of Stockholm in the Siguna region and is well serviced by rail and road with direct access to Stockholm and Arlanda Airport.
Like all Datacentres, this facility has a high Electrical and Mechanical content and this density of services generates various challenges during the delivery and final commissioning for projects of this scale and design.
AFEC assisted the main contractor by designing the modular units which house the servers which we were later to be fabricated and installed on site. Our involvement included the design and management of the fabrication of the modules as well as the logistics to deliver the units on site in Sweden.
This was a successful project and demonstrated AFEC’s ability to improve the programme and efficiency of a project by delivering a single critical piece of building infrastructure from design through to onsite installation.
This project was completed by AFEC International in 2014.
